Funa Gigs
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using FunaGigs, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.
2. Description of Service
Funa Gigs provides a digital marketplace connecting taskers with employers. The service includes Instant Hire, gig listings, messaging, and escrow payments through Funa Vault. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. User Registration
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself during registration. You must maintain and promptly update this information. If you provide false information, FunaGigs has the right to suspend or terminate your account.
4. Payments
Paying first: on most gig and Instant Hire jobs the client pays into our Funa Vault escrow system before the work starts. Funds are released to the tasker only upon mutual agreement of job completion. Funa Gigs takes a service fee for facilitating the transaction. Funa Vault is a platform escrow wallet — it is not a bank account. Paying after the work: for people Funa Gigs invites to its pilot, some jobs may instead be paid in cash after the work. Before the work starts, both people see and accept the terms, including the most the client can be charged. Funa Gigs works out the final bill from the agreed price, the work recorded in the app and any extras the client approved. The client pays the tasker directly. Funa Gigs does not receive, hold or guarantee cash payments and is not responsible if a client does not pay; it records what both people confirm and reviews disagreements through the Dispute Center. Clients pay no extra fee for paying after the work. Commission: Funa Gigs charges taskers 10% of the service value (labour, service fees and transport fares) and nothing on materials or third-party transport reimbursed with a receipt, or on taxes. On a cash job the tasker owes this commission to Funa Gigs once the client confirms the cash; the amount owed is shown in the app and is paid as Funa Gigs instructs. Funa Gigs may pause new cash jobs for a tasker who owes more than its published limit.
5. User Conduct
You understand that you are solely responsible for all content you post or transmit. You agree not to use the platform for unlawful purposes, harassment, fraud, or to distribute malicious software.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between taskers and employers must first be attempted to be resolved through the FunaGigs Dispute Center. Our support agents have final say on escrow fund allocation in the event of an unresolvable dispute.
7. Intellectual Property
Funa Gigs and its logos, software, and content are owned by JAMINSA VENTURES LIMITED. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer our services except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of FunaGigs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
